Boldly Entering the Throne Room to Restore Covenant Blessings

This 25-Day Prayer Focus for Boldly Entering the Throne Room to Restore Covenant Blessings can be started whenever you receive this. If you choose to start on Monday, that will take you to Sunday, April 9.

Day 1: Read Luke 11. Meditate on the Lord's Prayer. This is a season where the Lord's Prayer becomes a reality in our life. We must watch earth and heaven connect. We need to pull into the earth realm things that we have prayed in the past and that are stored in heavenly places.

Day 2: Read Genesis 22. Hallowed be Thy Name, Jehovah Jireh. Ask the Lord to allow you to know Him as Jireh. The testing of your faith unlocks provision.

Day 3: Read Exodus 15. Hallowed be Thy Name, Jehovah Rophe. Ask the Lord to have you experience Him as Rophe. Confess any murmuring or complaining as sin and a violation of trust. Ask the Lord to cleanse your spirit, soul, and remove any effects on your body.

Day 4: Read Exodus 17. Hallowed be Thy Name, Jehovah Nissi. Ask the Lord to teach you who He is as Nissi, His Banner Over You As Love. Let Him be your warrior. Learn to do battle with your Amalekites. (You can read the chapter in The Future War of the Church on "The Modern-Day Ites" and "Dethroning Thrones of Iniquity" for more insight on this.)

Day 5: Read Judges 6-8. Hallowed be Thy Name, Jehovah Shalom. Let Him reveal Himself as Shalom, the God of Wholeness, as you go into your next war and recovery!

Day 6: Read Hebrews 9 and 10. God has a remedy for iniquity: the covenant exchange of blood. Confess that HE IS. Hold fast to your confession!

Day 7: Read John 20 and 21. Let Him show you His grace to release the forgiveness of sins. Forgive. Go forth and release! See the apostolic shifts in these chapters.

Day 8: Read Luke 10. Notice the apostolic shift. Also notice the ministry shift through the parable of Good Samaritan. Finally, notice the call to sit and glean the best!

Day 9: Read John 11. Do not fear. He is always on time. Let Him remove any death structure that is holding you captive.

Day 10: Read Numbers 33. There is a time to review your past. Review your journey and promises, and then accelerate.

Day 11: Read Deut. 1. There is an appointed time to shift. You have gone around the same mountain long enough! Determine to "turn up and outward."

Day 12: Read Deut 1:6-8. There is a time to take your next assignment. Take on your next war!

Day 13: Read Deut. 1:22-26, and Numbers 13 and 14. There is a consequence of not going forward and outward! Break any strategy of unbelief that has held you captive.

Day 14: Read I Kings 19 and Nehemiah 8. Do not let weariness make you run. When words come to us in the midst of our spent emotional seasons, we can react wrongly. Stop and let the Lord rebuild your strength. The joy of the Lord is your strength.

Day 15: Read John 4. Let the Lord confront you with a new way of worship. May your intimate worship turn outward.

Day 16: Read Matthew 9. Do not let past legalism and financial loss keep you from pressing through and gaining new power. We are in a season of breaking cycles. Let me refresh you on what a cycle is. A cycle is an interval during which a recurring sequence of events happens. A cycle can also be a periodically repeated sequence of events, something that happens over and over at a certain time. Sometimes this is impregnated with supernatural phenomena. A cycle can be linked with time or event and orchestrated supernaturally so a repeating wound or injustice occurs from generation to generation. I am praying that every old cycle that would bring you or your family decrease or destruction in the future is being broken in your life.

Day 17: Read Esther 1-5. Fast as the Lord would lead you. (You can see notes on the Feast of Purim in the Three Key Dreams email.)

Day 18: Read Psalm 37. Ask the Lord to unlock your future desire and realign your emotions so your desire is in line with His desire for you. A desire is to long for, ask for, demand or seek for what is most precious. Praise and delight are linked with desire. Spend 30 minutes praising Him. Break the power of any unrestrained desires that have led you into covetousness, presumption, dwindling vision and decay!

Day 19: Read Eph. 4:11, 1 Cor. 12:28, and 2 Cor. 10. God is setting in place His order for the future. Define your sphere of authority. You must build on a sure foundation.

Day 20: Read Matthew 9 and Zech. 3. This is not a time for patching but putting on a new garment. Let the Lord dress you for your future!

Day 21: Read Jeremiah 29. In the midst of your current positioning, praise Him that He has a plan!

Day 22: Read Jeremiah 30 and 31. Look at His future promises and praise Him that His plan is good!

Day 23: Read Jeremiah 32. Meditate and ask the Lord for your faith action. Stake your claim!

Day 24: Read Jeremiah 33:1-3, Proverbs 31, and Psalm 127. Call out and let the Spirit of the Lord reveal things you could never see! Memorize this. Ask the Lord to open your eyes so you watch for your future. This will be a year of WATCHING! The watchman anointing is maturing. To watch means to look out, to peer into the distance, to investigate or get a new scope on something, to see an approaching danger and warn those endangered, to review and evaluate your household, or to see so you can guard your future. I see Him restoring the actual WATCHES so we can see things we have never seen before. I am presently working to complete a book on the four night-watches. God is reordering our day this year so we enter into His timeframe and experience the power of the watch. Let Holy Spirit establish your WATCH!!!!! Watch for unusual things to happen.

Day 25: Read Isaiah 10:26-27, I John 2:20, Isaiah 9:1-4. Receive a New Anointing! Allow the anointing in you to be released in a new way! The anointing is Christ in us being released. This breaks every yoke set against His will. The anointing is like oil. Not only do you become fragrant, but you are able to slip past the enemy. The anointing is also equated to fatness. You grow "fat" with His presence and authority from the inside, and every yoke on the outside breaks. For the issues that you gained victory in last year, and with the cycles that were broken, let Him become your rearguard so the path ahead is secured for the year.

Finally, do not take yourself so seriously that you lose the ability to laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. Joy is our strength. Learn to laugh not only with your friends and family but at the enemies around you that are attempting to defeat you. When we do this, we will not miss seeing the simple things in a world of chaos. Read Psalm 2 and laugh with the Lord!

Blessings,
Chuck D. Pierce

FACEDOWN 40 Day 9

The Governmental Center

Written by Mike Bickle
Thursday, 09 March 2006

Meditation:

Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, "Spare Your people, O Lord, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God?' Joel 2:17

Reflection:

At every level of government, there are places of prominence. Counties have county seats. States, provinces and territories each have respective capitols. Every nation of the earth has a place that the government resides and does business in. These cities are power centers – what is done in the meeting rooms and hallways of these cities affects the people of that land and often the surrounding areas as well. This all applies in the physical realm, but what about the realm of the Spirit? Is there a place of government for that?

The prayer room – the place where God’s saints gather to intercede – is the governmental center of the universe. The jurisdiction entrusted to the prayer room supercedes borders guarded by armies and spiritual principalities. Whether a large gathering of thousands or two or three around a kitchen table, these are the gatherings that truly affect the destiny of billions of people.

Setting aside time for fasting and prayer is the first line of defense in our war against darkness in this age. God’s primary call to a nation in crisis was to gather together in solemn assemblies like the one described by Joel. Let these days of fasting find you planted between the porch and the altar, crying out to the God of heaven to spare His people.

Prayer:

Father, I ask You for an impartation of faith to believe that my voice moves Your heart and that as we cry out to you God, that You bend Your ear and hear the cry of the righteous. What an awesome God you are to partner with your creation.

FACEDOWN 40 Day 8

Power for Breakthrough

Written by Mike Bickle
Tuesday, 07 March 2006

Meditation:

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8

Reflection:

As we call a nation of young people to pray for God to break in, we need to be clear in our own hearts what exactly it is we’re asking for. Rather than just settle for a series of good meetings that leave us tired out but unchanged, let’s join together to ask Him for an outbreak of His spirit that changes us on all levels.

Power for a breakthough of the heart.
When God does a work in our heart, we find ourselves enjoying a fresh intimacy with Him. We become students of His way of thinking and start to cultivate meekness and purity in our day to day lives. We seek to hear Him clearly and obey Him promptly.

Power for a breakthrough of the mind.
A fresh encounter with God will also manifest itself in a new understanding of God’s personality. We will have a spirit of revelation on our lives that will open up keys to His will for us, His emotions for people, and His End-time purposes.

Power for a breakthrough in ministry.
The Asuza Street revival leaders knew they had a significant move of God on their hands when missionaries began to be sent out around the world. The beauty of a God-movement is that it moves! It cannot be confined, and it is confirmed with power for miracles and authority on our words.

Prayer:

Jesus, You said we would receive Your power to become a witness to Your life. I ask that You would cause my heart and my mind to receive a breakthrough in power so that everything in me that hinders my life from witnessing to Your Divine Life would be removed. We ask for you manifest glory to be released in this hour.

FACEDOWN 40 Day 7

Fasting For Breakthrough In The Heavens

Written by Lou Engle
Tuesday, 07 March 2006

Meditation:

Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. ? Daniel 10:12-13

Reflection:

A while back, I picked up a book with a picture of Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler facing off against each other on the cover. The essence of the book was to capture how providential it was that these two leaders ?happened? to rise to political office at the same time. It was said that without Churchill, Hitler would have taken over the world. Yet without Hitler, Churchill would never have become the Prime Minister of Great Britain and one of the greatest leaders of the free world. Hitler was prepared by the enemy to wipe out God?s chosen people, but God was preparing Churchill in the wings to wipe out Hitler and Nazism.

A young Korean student from California, in regards to this book, wrote in his journal:

"I understood the purpose of my life. At this moment in time, I?m being prepared
to someday face my Hitler. The devil is preparing his end-time army to do
whatever he has planned. He has Hitlers training all over the world. I believe
that the Lord is calling me, and an entire generation, to enlist in His army to
be Churchills who will one day face their Hitlers and fight when war breaks out.
That?s what the call is all about?we?re calling for a global spiritual
revolution starting with our nation."

Recently, a young woman from Kansas City dreamt that she was standing looking at The Cause team in front of the Supreme Court. She knew in the dream that it was January and we were praying night and day with a constant line of people from one end of the Court to the other. Then she left the Supreme Court to go to the Justice House of Prayer and she bumped into me and I excitedly told her that something big was going to happen on April 9, but it was confidential. Then in the dream I decided to tell her so I pulled her aside and told her that on April 9 I was going to meet with the President of Iran and it was going to be an important day. In the next scene of the dream, she knew it was April 9 and everyone was back at the Supreme Court praying. She saw a man coming toward the team, so she went forth as a representative of JHOP. As he approached her, he introduced himself as the President of Iran. She asked him if he was looking for Lou Engle. He responded, ?Yes!? At the end of the dream, she ran to me saying, ?Lou! Lou! It?s April 9 and he?s here!?

I am stirred that our corporate fasting is going to bring us to a place of addressing the President of Iran; not a literal meeting, but in a confrontation with the Prince of Persia, the dark spirit-being stirring the President of Iran to hatred for the Jewish people and the frighteningly rapid pursuit of nuclear weapons.

Recently, the President of Iran, quoted Psalm 83:4, almost word for word, where foreign nations are speaking of Israel: ?Come and let us cut them off from being a nation that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.? When Daniel fasted, he inaugurated war in the heavens and Michael the archangel came to aid in the battle to dispel the evil Prince of Persia from his position of influence over earthly king of Persia. On the 21st day of this battle, Daniel?s fasting and praying to the King of kings and Lord of lords proved victorious on the battlefield and the angel of the Lord held the place of influence over the kingdom of Persia.

Brothers and sisters, multitudes of people are praying and fasting around the world during this season. I believe our prayer will speak to the Prince of Persia as it seeks to hold power over the President of Iran and all the Muslim nations. Now is the time to stand, having done everything left to stand, to bind the strongman, restrain the ancient spirit that seeks to destroy Israel, and loose Muslims into the revelation of Chris Jesus. Through fasting and prayer, like Daniel, we shape the destinies of nations. Like Churchill withstood Hitler, the Church on the Hill must rediscover its vocation of restraining the powers of darkness and setting captives free.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, we stand in the victory of Christ and his finished victory at the cross. Clothed with your authority, we declare the victory of Christ over the powers of darkness as they rage in Iraq and Iran and all the Middle East. We proclaim a great freedom for the Muslims peoples to come to Christ. We call forth a retraining order in the spirit against nuclear proliferation and the taunts of destructions against Israel. Lord Jesus call your Church to stand at this hour with the weapons of fasting and prayer. Raise up your house of prayer that contends with the Muslim house of prayer! In Jesus? name, Amen!

FACEDOWN 40 Day 6

With Loud Crying and Tears

Written by Francis Frangipane
Monday, 06 March 2006

Meditation:

“Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried” (Isa 53:4).

Reflection:

Some of us are too quiet in our prayer times. Face down does not mean quiet. I know there is a time for silent prayer, but it shouldn’t be the norm. As Christians we must let ourselves feel the agony of the world around us. While our faith should never be based upon feelings, our capacity to empathize with another’s loss or pain, should be fully alive in us and compelling.

Satan wants us muted. He desires (that) our prayers degrade into quiet muttering, as though we are ashamed of saying out loud what is going on inside. Our needs demand, at times, we have volume and substance in our prayer. Scripture says of Jesus that, “In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety” (Heb 5:7).

Some say this verse refers to Jesus’ prayer in Gethsemane, a one time experience. I disagree. The thought is introduced with the phrase, “In the days of His flesh.” The word days is plural. It indicates that there were actual times when, as the situation warranted, that Jesus prayed with “loud crying and tears.” My point is, Jesus felt deeply what He was praying about. His whole being was in His prayer, even expressing His burden with both loud crying and tears.

Our Master also felt the sorrow of His friends. He wept at the tomb of His friend, Lazarus. Yes, He knew He was about to raise Lazarus, but He felt the heartache (not the unbelief) of Lazarus’ friends and their sorrow seized His heart.

Even as Christ can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, we must allow ourselves this same empathy toward human suffering and injustice. Thousands are dying because of wars, starvation and disease; multitudes are homeless and in abject poverty. Infants are pulled apart in the womb before their lungs have taken a single breath. Sin and rebellion to God are rampant. We are blessed if we mourn over these things.

Granted, we cannot be ruled by our feelings, but they can help compel us toward heaven. As we pray, let the pain of those who cannot cry fill our hearts. Let us lift our voices in prayer, even with loud crying and tears as we approach Him who is able to save from death.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, moved with compassion You healed the multitudes. You extended Yourself, feeling the heartache of the world around You, Your whole life was consecrated as an act of intercession. Master give us a vision of Your love. Our world is wrought with pain and beyond our ability to ease it. Expand our heart as we cry to You. Father enlarge our soul, so that we pray with the very intercessions of Your Son, Jesus. Let our voice be full of reality as we pray. In Jesus’ name.

FACEDOWN 40 Day 5

Stigma of the Anointing

Written by Mike Bickle
Sunday, 05 March 2006

Meditation:

Because for Your sake I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face. I have become a stranger to my brothers, and an alien to my mother's children; because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me. When I wept and chastened my soul with fasting, that became my reproach. I also made sackcloth my garment; I became a byword to them. Those who sit in the gate speak against me… (Ps. 69:7-12)

Reflection:

This 40-day fast carries with it a very real sort of reproach. Those participating wholeheartedly will undoubtedly encounter resistance at some level. Other believers who do not feel compelled to join in may look at it with disdain, calling it too radical or out of the norm for their tastes. Likewise, in our culture of relativism and tolerance, taking a stand against the spread of Islam carries with it a very different sort of reproach. To not expect to feel that reproach is to go into battle unprepared.

For years I have referred to the “stigma of the anointing” – the resistance that one encounters when they are on the cutting edge of something that is God-ordained. Spiritual violence is not something that comes without paying a price.

Let me encourage you - do not wait until it becomes popular to seek God with spiritual violence. It will never be popular. It’s better and ultimately easier to learn to be among the first to take a stand for righteousness. Likewise, don’t expect it to suddenly get easier when a breakthrough comes. Those are the times that the enemy turns up the heat and we often face more scorn than we did before.

We must take a stand and bear the reproach before and after the breakthrough of God. Know that you are not standing alone.

Prayer:

Jesus, it is the longing of my heart to bear the reproach of Christ and to not only share Your joys but also Your sufferings in this life. To embrace Your sufferings I ask that You strengthen my heart with grace in my inner man, for You alone within me can enable me to live Your life.

FACEDOWN 40 Day 4

O Man! Greatly Beloved!

Written by Lou Engle
Saturday, 04 March 2006

Meditation:

“Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. And he said to me, "O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.” – Daniel 10:10-11

Reflection:

On the first day that Daniel set his face to fasting and prayer, God immediately dispatched his answer, but a demonic forced hindered that answer for 21 days. Here, for one of the first times in Scripture, we see a new element brought into the picture about the abilities of the powers of darkness to hinder the will of God. Some make claims that fasting does not change God, but that it only changes us. This is not the case in the book of Daniel. The very first day that the prophet Daniel sets his face to fasting, God sent His answer. In this case in Scripture, the fast needed to be sustained for the answer of heaven to find its breakthrough. How many times have we said that such-and-such is the will of God and stopped pressing in for the breakthrough? Could it be that that such-and-such was not the will of God, but because we did not sustain our fasting and prayer, the powers of darkness were not bound?

Consider the following dream given to me by a fifteen year-old in our community:
"The Cause was gathered together in a restaurant-type place with many other
groups gathered there who were murmuring in foreign languages. Many Middle
Eastern countries were represented there. Their mumblings began to grow and
grew louder than our prayer. [Another young person in our community] spoke
out and asked, “Is America in the lead?” (In the dream, it was clear that
this person was essentially asking, “Are we winning, through prayer, for America?). But we knew that we were not yet winning in this battle and the pagan prayer grew yet louder. We knew that to get in the lead we had to pray in the Spirit more loudly
and more clearly. At that point, a young woman named April was pacing back and
forth in intercession and she was praying very loudly and clearly in the Spirit. A few of her words came forth in English and she said, “LOU! LASTING FASTING!”

I believe that the voice of the Church must pierce the sound barrier and resound more loudly in the heavens than the sound of the prayers of the Muslims. Of course it is not a matter of loudness, but power, passion and intensity and I believe that the young woman named April in the dream was not about a person, but the month of April where our prayers will crescendo with “lasting fasting.” For nearly two thousand years, Muslims around the world have been praying five times a day to their god and corporately fasting during Ramadan. The sound of prayer in the Church must be released into the heavens in this critical moment of history and we must not stop until the powers of darkness can no longer resist the breakthrough.

Prayer:

God of the nations, give your Church spiritual vision and perspective for the war that rages on the earth and in the heavens. Give to us a spirit of wisdom and revelation that will sustain us in our intercession. Give us perseverance like Daniel to pray until we hear the sound of the archangel saying, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved. Because of your prayers I now remain alone besides the King of Persia, victorious as on a field of battle.” Lord, sustain us as we pray for the kingdom to come in Iraq, for the violence to end, for the Shalom of heaven, and for rest on that land. Father, bring a shift in the war in Iraq so miraculous that it affects the future destiny of America and the upcoming elections. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

FACEDOWN 40 Day 3

Fast From Judging

Written by Fracis Frangipane

Meditation:

"So speak and so act, as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment” (James 2:12-13).

Reflection:

In times of fasting and seeking God, there are a number of strategic access points with the Almighty. We should approach Him with worship and praise; we come in humility, bowing low in adoration. We can proclaim His word back to Him in faith, agreeing with His expressed purpose for earth as He has revealed in His word.

Likewise, there are many avenues of expression concerning fasting as well. There are partial fasts, fasts from food in general. We can also fast from sweets or “Daniel fasts,” which limit food intake to just vegetables. During times of fasting, people might find going without television or other forms of entertainment a suitable form of self-denial.

Yet let me encourage you add another type of fasting to this time: fast from judging people. One of the reasons we do not make more progress spiritually is because of innate attitudes of self-righteousness, which manifest as being judgmental. If we are humbling ourselves, let us remember, the act of judging another Christian is most often an act of religious pride. Every time we judge someone else, we ourselves are judged. We can’t blame the devil, for this is a battle that comes from our lack of love. What, then, shall we do with what we see? When we discern a sin or need in another, instead of judging that person, let us intercede for them instead. Anyone can judge, but it takes the nature of Christ to see the need and move in redemptive intercession for that individual.

Prayer:

Master, it was mercy that drew You from heaven to suffer and die for men on earth. Even when You judged us and spoke of our sin, it was not without the laying down of Your life for us. We would follow in Your footsteps. Deliver us from loveless judging. Create in us the vision to see men as they might become, once transformed by Your redemptive grace

FACEDOWN 40 Day 2

A Most Important Man

Written by Francis Frangipane

Meditation:

“First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-8

Reflection:

This week, President Bush will be in Pakistan meeting with Pervez Musharraf, president of Pakistan. While we should be praying daily for President Bush, we should also pray for President Musharraf as well. Pakistan is a nation of 160,000,000 people, 97% of whom are Muslim. Within its Islamic culture are millions of jihadists, many of whom willing to die for Allah. Obviously, Pakistan needs a stable, even noble leader to keep its radical population in check. A revolt or absence of balanced authority in Pakistan’s leadership would be catastrophic. Why? Pakistan already has nuclear weapons. With a radicalized government in charge, they could use those weapons or give them to terror groups around the world!

In spite of threats from Islamic radicals, President Musharraf has been a courageous ally in the war against terrorism. His army has been responsible for killing or capturing hundreds of al-Qaeda fighters, many of whom were important leaders in the terror network. Musharraf himself has been miraculously protected from several bomb attempts on his life. Civil rights groups criticize Musharraf for not relinquishing his position as commander in chief of Pakistan’s armies and for not allowing national elections to select a challenger to his presidency. Yet, Musharraf has served his nation well, seeking to end Pakistan’s long conflict with India as well as reaching in peace toward Israel. Finally, President Musharraf is a moderate Muslim who is respectful toward Christianity. As a child, he actually attended Saint Patrick's High School in Karachi and graduated from Forman Christian College in Lahore. He is a man of extreme importance in the purposes of God and vital to the resolution of the crises of our times. I urge you, therefore, to stand before God in prayer for this man.

Prayer:

Lord God, even as You singled out a Gentile king name Cyrus and used him for Your purpose, so You have raised up Pervez Musharraf and made him president of Pakistan. Father, cover and protect this man. Grant him wisdom, dreams and visions from You, that he might know Your voice. Reveal to him if there are any traitors in his staff. We bind and resist every demonic attack against his life. We cover him in the blood of Jesus. Father, for the sake of the gospel, we ask that You use President Musharraf and, in Your divine mercy, reveal Your Son to him. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

Emergency Prayer For Pakistan

This country is ready to explode again. This time they are openly saying they want to overthrow President Musharraf and bring harm to President Bush. (Bush was scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on Friday. Now they are not saying when, but it probably will be tomorrow night or Saturday.) Strikes are called for tomorrow. All shops are to be closed; nothing on wheels is to move. People are panicky and scared.

The bomb blast near the US Consulate in Karachi was done to send a direct message to President Bush. Since my last writing more churches have been destroyed.

The issues of the cartoons is now only used to raise religious fervor. In a country where one has to be a Muslim, not to take part in demonstrations is seen as being against “god”. It is a vicious cycle taking place, even those who do not want to take part are often forced into doing what they do not want to do.

IT CANNOT FALL. IT WILL NOT FALL.

We must pray.We must unleash the hosts of heaven to fight this war.God calls us to stand in the Gap and PRAY.

PRAY FOR
  • confusion to strike the powers of darkness.
  • President Musharraf. For wisdom.
  • Enough police forces to contain this.
  • President Bush. By his coming he could stir up enough opposition to make it difficult for Musharraf to stay in power.

“History belongs to the intercessors”. The Muslim world has gone through their time of Fasting. They look at this season of Lent before our big “Eid” (Easter), mocking and asking if we really fast and does our God hear us. Yes, God will hear! The Ruler of heaven and earth shall send forth His mighty warring angels and even Pakistan has experience an outpouring of the Holy Spirit!

FACEDOWN 40
Devotional Day 1

Written by Lou Engle

Jesus’ forty day fast prepared the way for His messianic shout, “The Kingdom is at hand!” The redemption of the world depended on Jesus’ abandonment to the Father as He fasted in the wilderness. Here was a focused man. Without failure, without faltering, He faced the strong man of the earth and bound him with His, “it is written.” Then from His facedown 40, He returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit.

This 40-day fast, being trumpeted across the nation, must take on the dimensions of do or die. Spiritual awakening is not an option in America! All hell is bent to squeeze the Church into its mold, and muffle its’ prayers that defy this present darkness.

The ongoing terrorism and blood letting going on in Iraq must be challenged by a mightier power than that which is being fueled by the fasting and prayers of millions of Muslims. The nuclear threats and spiritual devotion of the President and ayatollahs of Iran are the manifestations of the ancient spirit, the Prince of Persia, arising again threatening to destroy Israel and dominate the world.

One man, Daniel, fasting with total focus, no side issues, refusing to take no for an answer, was the deciding factor in the heavenly war between the Arch Angels of Heaven and the Prince of Persia. In like manner, the great prayer movement in the earth today is being called once again to this holy place of influence in the heavens, and a fasting 40 fad will not do it! We must be all out for this one!

Reflection:

Reese Howells and his praying band understood their place of intercession and its role in shaping history and withstood the spiritual powers that raged over Hitler and the Nazi regime. Listen to Howell’s journal as he challenges his holy band:
May 17th, 9:30 am
“You are more responsible for this victory today than those men on the battlefield. You must be dead to everything else, but this fight.”
1 pm
"Because you have committed yourselves, you are responsible. You will never have peace again until the world has peace, but you have a place in the cleft of the Rock,”

Friends, there is no peace in America, and there is no peace in the Middle East. Will God find His Reese Howells’ company again? I say yes and let it be now!

Prayer:

Oh God, Ruler of nations, Lord of history, we set our face to seek you with prayer and fasting. Find in us the spirit of your own Son, the great intercessor, who loved not his life unto death. Call forth thousands now, those who have found their place in the Rock, and out of that place are committed to war in the spirit for a great awakening in our universities, among our children, and in the cultural power centers of our nation. Arise oh God; contend with the spirit of Islam. Restrain the Prince of Persia. Loose Muslims by the thousands into the knowledge of the freedom of Christ Jesus. Protect and cover your people Israel until the day dawns and the Morning Star arises in their hearts. We pray for the sake of your Son, Jesus. Amen.
