Freedom: Nancy Carmichael

This is from a friend of ours -- Read it with the understanding of True Freedom -- If you have it you know it because you know Jesus as friend --- If you don't have it, you can... Simply receive Jesus (Romans 10:9). Thanks Nancy for sharing your writing and your heart with all of us!

-------------------------------------------------------

"WHOM THE SON SETS FREE IS FREE INDEED."
John 8:36

Unhindered. Unbound.
No fear. No restraints.
No self consciousness.
No self-centeredness.
No judgment. No guilt. No shame.
No regret. No doubt. No pride.
Nothing to hold us down. No-one to keep us back.
Nothing to separate us from God's love.

Everything we've ever dared to dream.

This is freedom.

This is why Jesus came for us.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,

and provide for those who grieve in Zion-
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
(Isaiah 61:1-3)

This is, in part, why we worship.

We are free to be the men and women God has made us to be.
We are free to display His glory. We are free, as His adopted children,
to claim His glory as our own! We are free to cast off everything that hinders,
and the sin that so easily entangles, and run the amazing race He has marked out for us!
We are free to be OURSELVES, our TRUE selves. And most of all,
we are free to help invite others to walk in this freedom.
This is truly GOOD NEWS.

And this is why we are worship leaders.

Whom the Son sets free IS FREE INDEED!

Becky Van Koevering: "Women of Warfare"

The following is courtesy of elijahlist.com

"For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical (weapons of flesh and blood), but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds..."—2 Corinthians 10:3-4

David and Becky Van KoeveringI am not a seer or a visionary like my husband David is, but in crucial times I have been led by the Holy Spirit to intercept what the enemy has meant for evil in his efforts to kill, steal and destroy everything God has for us.

In 1980, within a one week period of time, David had turned forty, his mother died a painful death from cancer, and we lost a business to an unscrupulous partner. It was during this time when the enemy spoke to David, telling him that he no longer had anything to live for, and then proceeded to convince him that his only answer was to end it all. So David decided to take out a one million dollar policy on his life and then set out to make the suicide look like an accident.

It was only two weeks prior to this, while sitting in church, when I became very burdened about David and the downward spiral his life was taking. The Holy Spirit impressed upon me to go to the altar that day and totally take my hands off the situation—handing David over to the Lord to do a work in his life. It was at this point when the Holy Spirit helped me realize I was not responsible for David's salvation. And only then—as I completely turned him over to the Lord—could the Holy Spirit have the freedom to do His work in David's life.

I vividly remember the day David had planned to commit suicide. He called me at home and tried to prepare me for what was about to happen. After hanging up the phone, I called out to our two children, Debbie and Joe (who were teenagers at the time), and told them that we must pray immediately because the enemy was out to destroy their father! Our children, both Christians, joined me in the bedroom where we knelt down beside the bed. In our desperation, the only thing we knew to pray was to plead the Blood of Jesus Christ over David and the entire situation the enemy had gotten him into.

When the Enemy Comes in Like a Flood—There's Nothing Like the Blood of Jesus!

When the enemy comes in like a flood, our true recourse is to apply the Blood of Jesus Christ to that situation.

God did answer our prayers, and in the last seconds as David was headed for the bridge abutment, the Holy Spirit spoke to his heart and said this wasn't the end but just the beginning. David had only enough time to swerve the car. Instead of hitting the bridge head-on, the only damage was to the passenger side of the car.

It was after this when David rededicated his life to the Lord!

In the ensuing twenty-eight years, the Lord has miraculously sustained us through many tragedies: the loss of Van Koevering Piano Company after the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers; a tragic house fire; and David's heart stopping a total of twelve times.

I remember once during an airplane flight to a New York hospital when David's heart had stopped for the tenth time. Upon his return home from that hospital, and in a very weakened condition, David asked me, "Did I scare you?" I answered him and said that he couldn't scare me and that he wasn't going anywhere because his assignment here wasn't finished yet.

It has been quite a ride since, and we are now beginning to see the fulfillment of the true calling and assignment on David's life.

We must remember in this troubled day of increased onslaught from the enemy who is out to kill, steal and destroy, that we need to get back to our source of power—the Blood of Jesus Christ!

I am reminded of the words of some timeless hymns that call us back to the Blood of Christ:

"The Church has one foundation, tis Jesus Christ her Lord. She is His new creation by water and the Word. From Heaven He came and sought her to be His Holy Bride. With His own Blood He bought her and for her life He died."

"My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' Blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus' name. His oath, His covenant and Blood support me in the whelming flood. When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay."

"Come to the shelter's safe retreat; hide you in the Blood of Jesus. Come for the storms around you beat; hide you in the Blood of Jesus. For the storms are raging high; O hide you in the Blood til the dangers pass you by."

"This is all my hope and peace, nothing but the Blood of Jesus. This is all my righteousness, nothing but the Blood of Jesus."

Women of Warfare—With Power

As women of warfare, God is calling us back to our spiritual source—the Blood of Jesus. We are women—some single, some married (sisters, wives, mothers, and grandmothers)—who need to pray the Blood of Jesus over our families daily.

We must realize today, that wherever our loved ones may be, no place is completely safe—even our churches can be targets. It's great to know, however, that the Blood covering not only works over our families, but also works just as well over our property, homes, cars, jobs, health—in every area of our lives. No evil power can withstand the covering and the protective hedge of the Blood of Jesus Christ!

Another example of the awesome power of the Blood of Jesus happened in December 2007 when the Holy Spirit put a burden on my heart for Judy (not her real name), the daughter of some dear friends of ours. Judy was in the middle of a terrible divorce, and I had been praying for her for several months. But it was in December when my prayers shifted. The Holy Spirit told me that this divorce would end in tragedy if the Blood of Jesus was not applied over this precious daughter and her little ones. The burden was heavy on my heart for a week or more when I asked the Lord to make the proper connection of a time and place.

The very next Sunday we visited a church, and Judy was there with her children, parents, and grandparents. I expressed my heartfelt concerns, and after the service we all gathered around Judy and prayed for the power of the Blood of Jesus to put a shield and a hedge about her and the children.

In February, while we were attending a conference where David was speaking, we received word from Judy's family that her estranged husband had determined in his mind to kill Judy. He had began making plans, even telling the men who worked for him that they could have his business, and then he gave his computer with all of his business information on it to his father.

He acquired a gun and set out to kill both Judy and himself! Tragically, when he made his attempt, he succeeded in crashing into her car, and in the process he ran his pickup truck into a ditch where he could not get out. As Judy called 911 to summon the police and he heard the sirens nearing, he put the gun to his head and committed suicide. I believe Judy's life was spared as a result of the protective covering of the Blood of Jesus applied in December as we prayed over her life.

It was then in July of 2008, when the Holy Spirit again gave me insight through a word of knowledge that Judy was having dreams and nightmares of her deceased husband. Once more I prayed and asked the Lord to make the connection of the right place and time, and I would be obedient. That Friday night we were invited to her parents' home for dinner and Judy happened to be there. When the time was right and the Lord provided the opportunity for us to speak privately, I asked if she was having dreams and nightmares of her former husband. She told me of the nightmares and that the vividness was so real—she could actually smell and touch him.

The Holy Spirit instructed me to tell her that although this man was dead, the demonic spirit that made him kill himself was still trying to attack her through her dreams and in her vulnerability. I advised her to plead the Blood of Jesus over her mind, her emotions, her subconscious, and her dreams before she went to sleep, and then to turn the dreams over to the Lord for her protection. We all came together that night to pray over her and decree that she was set free. Thankfully, the nightmares then stopped.

Isaiah 53:4-5 tells us that when Jesus shed His precious Blood for us at the Cross, He took upon Himself our sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses, carrying them as His own burden. Jesus was wounded and bruised for our sin, wickedness, and rebellion. And He obtained peace and well-being for us through His shed Blood, and by His stripes we are healed and made whole.

As women of warfare, we can stand on the words of Psalm 68:11, "The Lord gives the word (of power); the women who bear and publish (the news) are a great host." Let us learn to take this Word of power and use it!

Fantastic Healing Report from TODD BENTLEY

"Young Girl Goes to Heavenly Surgery Room; Receives Healing From Crippling Diseases "
By Teresa Neumann

A desperate missionary family, unfamiliar with healing revivals, takes their daughter to Lakeland where she has an encounter with Jesus.
Written and reported by: Teresa Neumann from Breaking Christian News

(Lakeland, Florida)--Pastor Stephen Strader of Ignited Church in Lakeland, Florida, where a massive revival has broken out, contacted Breaking Christian News about an amazing healing that took place there on Saturday, April 26, in which 14-year-old Kelsey Hays was healed from multiple autoimmune diseases.

I telephoned Kelsey's mother, Lesley, of Kansas City, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 29, to ask her for details of what happened. She and Kelsey were still in Lakeland, preparing to fly back to Kansas City where they attend the International House of Prayer (IHOP).

Some background on Kelsey and her family:

At the age of 9, Kelsey was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune related thyroid condition. Later she acquired Hepatitis C, which her mother says she "fought off," but in the process, it left her body weakened and subject to other immunological diseases.

Mr. and Mrs. Hays and their family have been missionaries in Mexico, and most recently, Ecuador for at least ten years. In September of last year, they had arrived back in the states for a furlough. Shortly thereafter in October, Kelsey fell victim to a variety of increasingly serious illnesses. She had her gallbladder removed and during surgery, doctors noticed that her liver was scarred and infected. Later, doctors believed inflammation from the infection had entered the lining of her stomach and was attacking her central nervous system. By April, Kelsey's parents and her baffled doctors were at their wit's end. She was in continual, intense, and severely crippling pain, taking up to 30 pills a day to try and manage it.

Then recently, someone at the Hays' church approached them with news of the revival in Lakeland and offered to pay the family's way there. Though they had never experienced meetings like the ones they were about to attend, the Hays were desperate. Also, Lesley said Kelsey had shared with their church a significant vision Kelsey had in March of this year, the Saturday before Easter Sunday. In the vision, Kelsey said she found herself connected to an IV, standing before the Throne of God. Jesus came down and cut the IV tube and then God the Father came down, removed the IV from her hand, took off her hospital gown and said, "It's done!"

"The day after the vision," noted Lesley, "was the worst day of pain Kelsey ever had."

Saturday, April 26, Lakeland, Florida:

By the time Kelsey and her parents arrived at the venue in Lakeland, it was 6:00pm. The lines of people stretching for blocks outside of the church told them that it was filled to capacity and they would not be able to get in. Standing in the crowd, the Hays' heard story after story of healings and miracles happening around the world, even to those not present in the meetings. Somehow, Lesley and Kelsey were finally able to get in (Lesley thought because they had helped another suffering couple to get in), but Mr. Hays remained outside.

Kelsey was in so much pain and so fatigued, she couldn't walk. Her mother literally dragged, and half-carried her up to the only space available in the balcony, where they began to cry and worship the Lord. "It's all we could do," she said. Standing next to them were a man and woman, complete strangers. The woman turned to Kelsey and said, "I believe God wants to give you new organs" (Kelsey's gallbladder had been removed). The man looked at Lesley and said, "I just saw you in a dream recently. I saw myself carrying your daughter down to the stage to get prayer."

Even though at the time, Todd Bentley was taking testimonies from people who had been healed, the man offered to help take Kelsey down to get prayer. Lesley, unfamiliar with the type of meeting she was in, was afraid of breaking protocol and hesitated. Moments later, Todd stopped the testimonies and said, "I see someone with an IV pain drip in their left arm. Who is that?" Remembering Kelsey's vision of standing before the Throne with her IV, her mother took up the man's offer. He carried Kelsey down to the stage. Todd prayed a simple prayer, touched Kelsey's forehead, and she fell out under the power of the Spirit for about 45 minutes, said Lesley.

What was happening to Kelsey during this time? According to her mother, Kelsey said while she was "out" she was taken to Heaven. She found herself in a celestial surgical room where Jesus stood next to her looking right down at her, directly face-to-face. He said to her, "Keep your eyes on Me, Kelsey. It'll be ok."

She saw angels all around her; she felt them kneading her stomach, doing deep massage on her entire body, especially her legs and arms which had been so weak. At one point while Kelsey was lying on the floor under the Spirit, her mother said Todd announced publicly: "Look! There's angels over her."

When Kelsey finally came to and stood up, Todd asked her how she felt. "I feel nothing," said Kelsey. "I feel NO PAIN!"

Kelsey has been in NO PAIN since she experienced God's extraordinary touch of healing! She's feeling just like a 14-year old girl should feel.

You can continue watching this extraordinary healing revival in Lakeland, Florida, and hear the testimonies that come out of it on www.God.tv or www.freshfire.ca.

Catherine Brown: "God Desires to Empower You to Be An EXPRESSION OF HIS HEART to All Those Around You"

Courtesy of elijahlist.com

catherine brown"May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us, that Your ways may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations." Psalm 67:1-2

I want to encourage you today with a word about Kingdom transformation. God desires to empower you to be an expression of His heart to all those around you. Today, God wants you to know that as He holds the whole world in His hands, He also holds your heart, your family, your destiny, and every good gift in the palm of His pierced hands for you.

Jesus said, "Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, and to see My glory, the glory You have given Me because You loved Me before the creation of the world." John 17:24

We need to have faith for the encounter to access the atmosphere of Heaven, yet all we have to do is simply accept the Master's invitation to enter into the glory realm.

The Transfiguration Encounter

In Matthew 17:1-13, we read how Jesus took Peter, James and John up the mountain with Him, and there the Lord was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun and His clothes became shining bright and the glory of God was all around. In addition to this incredible sight, Moses and Elijah appeared before them and spoke with Jesus about His imminent departure from the earth. The atmosphere of Heaven causes a shift and brings with it an opening from Heaven to earth. Mantles, miracles, salvations and healings are released when Messiah draws near.

At this time, Peter suggested that he should put up three tents. We might say he wanted to "build a monument to the moment," but God wasn't looking to build a monument; He was orchestrating a face-to-face encounter to facilitate Kingdom change beyond what they could ever imagine at this stage of their journey. It was an awesome occurrence, and we can understand why Peter wanted to keep hold of it forever!

God, however, had different ideas. He didn't want Peter to operate out of yesterday's anointing; God calls us to live in the "now" of His eternal presence, invading every fiber of our being with His glory. As Peter spoke a bright cloud enveloped them all and God's voice was clearly heard above Peter's, "This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!" Matthew 17:5

God sought to ensure that the disciples recognized the strategic and significant nature of their encounter. With the coming death and resurrection of Christ, life as they knew it was going to change beyond recognition. This personal episode in their lives was necessary to prepare them for what lay ahead. In time they would ultimately view this revelation of Christ's majesty in the wider context of reaching the multitudes.

Love Breaks Fear

By affirming Christ, God revealed Himself, yet again, as a loving Heavenly Father in touch with every aspect of His Son's life and the lives of all His children. By enveloping them in the glory cloud, God included the "trembling trio" simultaneously, making it clear that it was not a time for idle chatter but a time to listen carefully to Christ.

The disciples were terrified and fell face down when they heard God's voice, but Jesus came and touched them in a reassuring manner. Not desirous for His disciples to be ruled by fear He said, "Don't be afraid." Jesus understands that fear can cause us to feel disenfranchised or to disengage and become apathetic or aggressive (passive or otherwise) to the process of change.

The power of Christ's love breaks every fiber of fear in us. Jesus said to Peter, James and John, "Get up" because our Lord is passionate about active discipleship. He wants us on our feet, ready to respond to His voice and willing to move forward at any given time to His instruction.

Building--a Monument, Memorial or a Movement?

Peter had come perilously close to building a monument to the memory rather than realizing he was part of a Kingdom movement for change. We can all so easily fall prey to this religious mindset. Building a memorial to "how things were" may prevent us from moving forward into the exciting new things God has for us. We need to acknowledge that each touch of Christ is to maintain His divine momentum of transformation in us and through us. We cannot build for the future if we operate in the confused assumption that "what was" is somehow better than "what is" or "what will be." Christ yearns to encounter us just as He did Peter, James and John on the Mount of Transfiguration.

The disciples may have left the mountain without fully understanding what the future held. Nonetheless, God had imparted another revelation of His glory into their beings. Every testimonial meeting with God is life-changing even when we don't entirely "get it." Perhaps our responses might initially look like Peter's--a little bit out of sync with God's direction. But the Holy Spirit and the Word of God are our plumb line in times of transition and enable us to respond to Him with humility and grace

He's Got the Whole World in His Hands--A Vision of Jesus

Having been suitably challenged by this Biblical exhortation not to become distracted by past glory moves of God (yet mindful of the need to give thanks for them), I sought the Lord in prayer and He graciously and immediately opened up the revelatory realms. I saw Christ holding a globe representative of all nations in His hands and "2008" was wrapped around it. The Lord embraced the world, holding it against His chest and the lifeblood of Jesus filtered into the world as He embraced it. I could discern the audible heartbeat of the Lord and as He touched the nations, they too, began to echo Heaven's heartbeat.

Intrigued, I inquired of the Lord, "What are You doing?" He smiled at me and said, "I am gathering the nations to Myself."

It is all too easy to forget that Jesus truly does hold the whole world in His hands! God wants to encourage us to be a people with whom He can infuse His power and passion to partner Heaven in a Holy Spirit movement for change. The vision clearly portrays the ingathering of the multitudes. Such a harvest vision is always impregnated with seed which will bear Kingdom fruit. Today we have an opportunity to receive from our Master and become His agents for change.

I bless each one of you in the glorious love of Christ.

CHUCK PIERCE: "PRAYER ALERT for the Middle East: Nations Collide and Rosh Hashanah Begins"

This article comes from elijahlist.com. Let's join in praying for these Middle East and Islamic nations during Ramadan, beginning today.

For His Glory,

Nations Collide: Ramadan Begins Along with Rosh Hashanah on the Night of September 12
A Prayer Initiative from the Middle East

This is a key time for the blood-bought disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ to rise up and pray fervently. We are entering the new Hebraic Year 5768, today--at sundown. However, not only is this the Hebrew new year, but we are also entering into the Islamic month of "Ramadan." Devout Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset as an act of faith and worship toward Allah, suppressing their desires and abstaining from earthly pleasures. This fast is intended to be an exacting act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a raised level of closeness to Allah. During Ramadan, Muslims are also expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam as well as refraining from anger, envy, greed, lust, sarcastic reports, backstabbing and gossip.

The word "Ramadan" is an Arabic word meaning intense, scorching heat or dryness, especially toward the ground. Another definition is "sun-baked sand." An additional intent of Ramadan is to scorch out sins with good deeds. Ramadan releases religious zeal among Muslims of all ages.

I would encourage you to pray for the millions upon millions of Muslims who will be observing the month of Ramadan. As they are striving in an act of devotion, we can intercede that they are met with dreams and visions of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and that the Holy Spirit reveals His truth to them.

I am forwarding a prayer initiative that was just sent to us from a leader in an Arab nation in the Middle East. Rather than writing a focus myself this year, I felt it was important to gain revelation from leaders that actually live in predominately Muslim nations. We will be traveling to meet many of these leaders at the beginning of October.

The initiative below is a focus from those who "dwell in the land" and encourage us to "dig in prayer" with them. We feel that if we do this during Ramadan, then we will come into a "Rehoboth season" for the Kingdom of God. This means the Kingdom of God will advance, and we will all find an enlarged space to dwell in the presence of God with a victory mindset.

Prayer Initiative from an Arab Leader

Loving Greetings in Jesus Name!

It's a great joy to come to you through this prayer initiative during this month beginning from the 13th of September. We would like to pray for our cousins and also very specifically for the Muslim nations around the world--taking one country a day for the next 30 days.

The Middle East region that we are living in now was once upon a time--a hotbed for revival. The Peters and the Pauls of the New Testament, turned these regions upside down for the Lord. Most of the Churches were planted here and the Gospel to the whole world was rung out from here.

But the state today of the same region, which was once visited powerfully by the Lord, is closed to the Gospel. The Lord spoke to me in a time of prayer that this is exactly like the situation in Genesis 26:18, "Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them."

During Isaac's days, the Philistines closed the wells which were springs of water in the days of Abraham. The Lord spoke to Isaac and said to DWELL in the land and not go into Egypt. Then the Bible says that Isaac started to DIG up the wells of his father, Abraham, which the Philistines had closed. There was opposition after he dug the first well. He dug again, and there was opposition even for that. But Isaac kept on digging. Finally, the Lord brought him to REHOBOTH, which means "the Lord has made a large room for us and we will be fruitful in the Land," where he had no contention.

Let us hear what the Spirit says to the Church. In these lands, let us DWELL IN HIM and let us DIG IN PRAYER. We shall soon reach the REHOBOTH for there are SPRINGS OF LIVING WATER waiting to be tapped and to flow out into these nations again.

During this month of Ramadan beginning on September 13, let us join our hearts and faith, and pray collectively (if you could fast that will be very fine). Below this list is a link to a downloadable file that contains details on 30 Muslim nations that will enable you to pray more effectively.

Remember to DWELL AND DIG!

Prayer Siege In Progress At Late-Term Abortion Mill

The following Press Release is Operation Rescue regarding the "Wichita Awakening" www.operationrescue.org

July 16th, 2007

As late-term abortions begin, The Wichita Awakening draws attention to abortion atrocity

Wichita, KS - Approximately 300 people, most wearing red cloth tape printed with the word "LIFE" over their mouths, have surrounded Women's Health Care Services, the larges late-term abortion mill in the nation to pray for an end to abortion and that 19 criminal charges filed against the clinic owner, George Tiller, would stick.

About a dozen young people from a California youth group called the Survivors, lay on the sidewalk in the fetal position surrounded by chalk lines, such as would be seen around a body at a murder site. They are covered with red cloth to symbolize the innocent blood that is shed and to protest the killing of innocent pre-born children.

With live Christian music playing on a sound system, hundreds who have come to Wichita with The Cause on their "God's Summer of Love" tour, prayed and read their Bibles while others attempt to dissuade women from entering the clinic for late-term abortions that Operation Rescue believes are a continued violation of the Kansas ban on post-viability abortions.

"The way the charges were filed against Tiller, he is allowed to continue doing the same procedure for which he has been charged. We think that is crazy, and a total miscarriage of justice," said Newman. "Those gathered here today are expressing broken hearts for the lives that are needlessly and brutally killed, and are beseeching the Heavens for mercy for the innocent victims and justice for the perpetrators."

The prayer siege, part of the Wichita Awakening hosted by Operation Rescue, is ongoing and is scheduled to conclude at 4 PM today.

The Wichita Awakening will finish the evening with a Praise and Worship Service at 7PM at the Mid-American Indian Center. A similar service Sunday evening drew a crowd of 570.

Life-changing Quotes

Day 33 of "40 Days for 40 Years" 7 Days to Go

SOURCE: www.sermonindex.net

(Rev. Thomas Brooks)"There is a great deal of worldliness, and earthly-mindedness,
and covetousness among the professing Christians of our day.
They are worshipers of the golden calf! O sirs! the world is
all shadow and vanity. The world is like Jonah's gourd--a man
may sit under its shadow for a time, but it soon decays and dies.

The main reason why many professors dote upon the world,
is because they are not acquainted with a greater glory. If
the heart of man is not filled with God--it will be filled with
the world, the flesh and the devil." - Thomas Brooks, 1670.

"By affliction, the Lord teaches His people to sit loose
from this world, and to be prepared for eternity.
By affliction, God shows His people the vanity, vexation,
emptiness, weakness, and nothingness of all created
things; and the choiceness, preciousness and sweetness
of communion with Himself." - Unknown.

"The average Christian is so cold and contented with his wretched
condition that there is no vacuum of desire into which the blessed
Spirit can rush in satisfying fullness." - A.W. Tozer

"The spiritual man habitually makes eternity-judgments instead of
time-judgments. By faith he rises above the tug of earth and the
flow of time and learns to think and feel as one who has already
left the world and gone to join the innumerable company of angels
and the general assembly and Church of the First-born which are
written in heaven. Such a man would rather be useful than famous
and would rather serve than be served. And all this must be by the
operation of the Holy Spirit within him. No man can become
spiritual by himself. Only the free Spirit can make a man spiritual."
- A.W.Tozer

“Preach the word purely and fully; mix nothing with it that does not
belong to it... The gospel is not suited, and cannot be made to
suit, the corrupt dispositions and inclinations of the carnal mind;
but the faithful preaching of it is calculated to oppose and to
overcome those evil prejudices so far as to excite men to attend
to the doctrines it contains and the blessings it proposes. It is
your duty, not to bring down the gospel into a conformity with
them, but to change them into a conformity with the gospel.”
- Robert Hall.

"Oh the secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him!!!"
-Duncan Campbell

"We stink more of the world than we stink of of sack cloth and
ashes. Alot of contemporary churches today would feel more at
home in a movie house rather than in a house of prayer, more
afraid of holy living than of sinning, know more about money than
magnifying Christ in our bodies. It is so compromised that
holiness and living a sin-free life is heresy to the modern church.
The modern church is, quite simply, just the world with a Christian
T-shirt on!" - N. Cruz.

"Preaching is God's great institution for the planting and maturing
of spiritual life. When properly executed, its benefits are untold.
When wrongly executed, no evil can exceed its damaging results."
-E.M. Bounds

"Despite the atrociousness of it, Satan really does have "little
cause to fear most preaching." Most preaching in the modern
church is completely devoid of unction. Pastors are too busy
playing golf or racquetball to bother spending time on their knees.
No wonder some pastors I've heard can more readily quote Dr.
Laura then bible passages pertaining to prayer. It's disastrous.
Satan need not fear under those conditions." - A. Reavis

"The Lord has shown me that I can do anything, but that He has
said, "apart from Me ye can do nothing." So it comes to this, that
everything I have done, and can still do apart from Him is nothing!"
- 'The Normal Christian Life' - Watchman Nee

"How do we worship our God wholeheartedly? To answer the
question we must respond to the command... "If you love me, you
will obey what I command." John 14:15. True Love is complete
obedience ... If you love Jesus, you will obey what He commands.
This is true love and true worship." - Unknown

"A man may study because his brain is hungry for knowledge,
even Bible knowledge. But he prays because his soul is hungry
for God." - Leonard Ravenhill

"Resolved: that all men should live for the glory of God. Resolved
second: That whether others do or not, I will." - Jonathan Edwards

"Let us not glide through this world and then slip quietly into
heaven, without having blown the trumpet loud and long for our
Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Let us see to it that the devil will hold a
thanksgiving service in hell, when he gets the news of our
departure from the field of battle." - C. T. Studd

"Make sure you are praising God on the right side of the sea."
- A former pastor, Speaking of the Israelites.

"May the Lamb who was slain, receive the reward for His suffering!"
- Cry of Moravian Missionaries

"I believed also that nobody is more a Christian. I had read in the
Bible that there will be in the last time the great apostasy, that
people will leave the faith and I believed that I lived now this time.
But I said to myself if Christianity is dead, I will sit at its tomb and
will weep until it arises again, just as Mary Magdalene sat at the
tomb of Jesus and wept until Jesus showed Himself. Then when I
came out of prison I saw Christianity is not dead. The number of
practicing Christians in Rumania according to the figures given by
the Communists themselves in 20 years of Communist
dictatorship has grown 300 percent." - Richard Wurmbrand.

"There is nothing little in God." - C.H. Spurgeon

"I love to live on the brink of eternity." - David Brainerd

"Oh! one hour with God infinitely exceeds all the pleasures and
delights of this lower world." - David Brainerd
