(US & Canada)—Don't be surprised to see those who value life lining the streets this Sunday, holding signs and praying for their country. October 7th, 2007, is "LifeChain Sunday", a time of peacefully standing against abortion, in the U.S. and Canada.
A press release from NationalLifeChain.org states, "On National Life Chain Sunday, October 7, pro-lifers in America and Canada will, for the 20th year, line sidewalks in over 1,300 cities and towns to seek God's forgiveness and His help to end abortion and related evils in our culture. Participants will hold signs that include Abortion Kills Children; Adoption: The Loving Option; Lord, Forgive Us and Our Nation; and Abortion Hurts Women."
According to LifeChain.net, the event began through prayer in 1987, by a small pro-life group known as "Please Let Me Live." By 1991, about 170 LifeChains had been established in America, and other nations.
This year, there are reportedly, more than 13,000 LifeChains on record in North America alone. For more information, follow the link provided.
