Mammatus Clouds(New York, NY)—After a heavy thunderstorm last week in New York City, the sky was filled with unusual clouds and color, and people came out from all over the Big Apple with cameras to catch a shot. (Photo: MSNBC)

According to the MSNBC report, the extraordinary cloud formation was said to be "Mammatus" clouds which are typically found where moist air interacts with dry air.
