I recently sent out the complete call to prayer that Lou Engle received. Lou has been ordained by the Lord to call a nation and generation together in Nashville on July 7. Please participate in The Call with Lou Engle and rally the generations together. Encourage teams, families, and everyone you are connected with to be a part of this wonderful gathering. Global Harvest is hosting the International Congress on Prophecy in Orlando the two days prior to this gathering, and we will then send teams from there to The Call in Nashville. These gatherings could change the course of our nation.
I want to encourage you to enter into the 40 days of fasting that precedes this gathering (beginning on May 28). In this email I am including a 40 Day Prayer Focus to assist you. This prayer focus will help you in "Overthrowing Reproaches and Captivity." As you pray for your family, ask the Lord to change this nation. This prayer focus and fast could be life changing for you. If you have never participated in a 40 day extended call to prayer, now is one of the best times to begin.
A DREAM: The Call to Protect a Generation and Teach Them How to War!
I have had a great awareness this year of the generation that is arising. I have watched the Lord bring forth a new generation of worshippers. I continue to teach and train a new generation of prophets. The real need, and key issue for the next generation, is developing their discernment.
June Rana, the Office Manager here at GZI, recently communicated this dream to me:
"We were in a Boarding School. Nazi-like people came in with guns and wanted to kill the adults. But instead of separating all the adults from the children, they grouped us so that each parent was with one of their children. I (June) had no children there, but was put in a room with a parent who had a 10-12 year old child. We were sitting in school chairs with desks. One of the officers entered and said that the children would kill the parent. There were two people there I recognized, along with a younger version of one of our pastors. The Nazi-like officer gave his pistol to the young pastor, who took it and shot himself in the head. Then the officer passed the gun to one of the ladies I recognized. This person had a strange, puzzled, naive look on her face. She took the gun and shot herself in the head, causing only a flesh wound. Then the officer handed the gun to me (June) and instead of doing what we were being instructed to do, I shot the person in the middle of the head. Then the woman with the flesh wound took the gun back from me and shot herself again.
I then knew that we needed to formulate a plan and hide before we were all killed. We stripped off the Nazi-like officer's clothes and put it on one of the fathers in the room. We hid the officer where he could not be easily seen, and then followed the father out of the room so it looked like we were following an officer rather than trying to escape. Our hope was that we could walk out without being stopped!"
When she shared this dream, I immediately thought of how the next generation must learn to discern. I reflected on how religious spirits and false submission could be very destructive. I was amazed that the enemy could hand a gun to someone and they would use the enemy's weapon on themselves because they had been directed to shoot themselves instead of turning the weapon on the enemy. I also saw the present need for a generation to arise, to lead forth another generation out of captivity and into freedom.
Turning Back a Reproach
So many cycles are coming full circle in this war season. The 40 year cycles of "the season of love", the Vietnam Era, the removing of prayer from schools, Roe vs. Wade, (just to mention a few) have now come full circle. Many of these cycles were results of sin and caused a nation to run away from the covenant of God.
Sin produces something known as a reproach. A reproach is defined as a source of blame, discredit, disgrace, shame, humiliation, or scorn. Once sin embeds down in you, it creates a reproach that works against the favor of God. Favor means: pleasure, desire, delight, to be pleased with or favorable toward something. When God is pleased with us, His favor rests on us. But sin can stop God's favor from resting on us. In this case, we exchange God's favor for His disapproval. A reproach does not mean that we have lost our salvation or our standing with God. It does mean, however, that the favor God longs to give us in some area of our lives is blocked because of the iniquity that has now infiltrated our garment. Until we make our lives right before God once again, we (and perhaps our descendants) will live under the effects of that reproach.
How Do Reproaches Manifest?
There are many ways that a reproach can work itself out in the life of an individual. A common manifestation is an uncircumcised heart. In the Old Testament, the physical sign of the Abrahamic covenant was circumcision. When Joshua took the children of Israel into the Promised Land, all the circumcised males had died in the wilderness. Therefore, God told Joshua to renew the sign of circumcision throughout the new generation. "So it was, when they had finished circumcising all the people, that they stayed in their places in the camp till they were healed. Then the LORD said to Joshua, 'This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.' Therefore, the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day" (Joshua 5:8-9). This passage shows that by obedience to that command, God removed the last of the reproach from Egypt off the people. All the shame and disgrace of their slavery was gone.
Today, it is not a physical but spiritual sign we bear, which is circumcision of the heart. Deuteronomy 30:6 explains, "And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live." When you have not had your heart opened up to covenant with God or continually break that covenant, you cannot bear the sign of the covenant, which is a circumcision of heart--loving the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul--that you may live. Without circumcision of the heart, reproaches, such as slavery and idolatry was for the children of Israel, will not be fully broken off your life.
Many illnesses are linked with reproaches. Reproaches caused by sin have much more of an affect on our basic bodily and mental functions than many of us realize. In fact, we know that the wages of sin is death--physical death. By the same token, a result of sin is also illness. The most visible sin-initiated reproach on our society today is AIDS. While not every case of AIDS is a direct result of a specific sin, the majority is. In addition, certain forms of arthritis have been linked to anger. Ulcers and other stomach ailments can be caused by sin-induced anxiety. Even though not all illnesses are a result of sin (see John 9:3), many need to be addressed with this understanding.
A reproach can be detected by the absence of the Presence of God. Reproaches can also manifest and result in barrenness, decrease, and poverty. When we are sent to war and lose the conflict, a reproach comes upon our lives or the life of a nation.
We must be reclothed for the future. Unless we remove the reproaches of the past, we can never enter into the favor God has for our future. The reproach of the past then becomes our garment for the days ahead. The following 40-Day Prayer Focus will help you remove any reproach that is holding you captive to the past, and help us prepare for the declarations to be made at The Call on 7-7-7.
40 Days to Roll Away the Reproach of a Generation and Secure our Inheritance for the Future
Day 1: Read Numbers 14, Joshua 5 & 6. Praise God! Ask the Lord for the strategy of worship that will dethrone that which is invincible in your life and is stopping you from moving forward in your promise. Decree that every reproach of unbelief from the past generation that is connected to your life, your inheritance and your future will be "ROLLED AWAY"!
Day 2: Read Isaiah 12, Numbers 21:10 -18. Praise breaks open your wells of salvation. Praise is the cure for dryness. Receive a renewed spirit!
Day 3: Read John 14:21, John 16:7-9, Ephesians 4:7-32. As you worship, receive a spirit of revelation. Obey. Usually, He will tell you something very simple to do. There are many needs during this season, physically and emotionally. Ask the Lord to speak to you over how to give. As you give, you will receive revelation of who the Father is. Jesus ascended so the Helper (the Holy Spirit) could come to Earth on our behalf. Therefore, if we worship and ascend, we are promised that the Holy Spirit will fill our lives. He will bring conviction when we sin, open the way for us to experience our righteousness through faith, and condemn the devil on our behalf. Ask Him to fill you new and fresh.
Day 4: Read Acts 7:54-60. As we ascend in worship, we are comforted in our sufferings. Ask the Lord to touch you in the place where you have the most need.
Day 5: Read 2 Tim. 4:16-18, 2 Kings 6. Don't allow the enemy to convince you that he is more powerful than the Lord. Open your eyes and see the angelic host around you. We can experience the Lord standing with us and strengthening us so that we might accomplish His will on Earth. We can experience the power of His ascension and deliverance from every evil work.
Day 6: Read 1 Sam. 30. This is a transition chapter. The activities in this chapter released David into his next level of anointing. Especially notice verses 24-25. Receive new strength. Pursue and retrieve all!
Day 7: Read Heb. 2. Meditate on Verse 9. Declare that the power of any voice of death over the personal vision of your life be broken. From His ascension, He demonstrated that glory, not death, is the final word of operation in our lives. Make declarations of faith. Only through worship do we ascend into a new faith dimension.
Day 8: Read Eccl. 3. War for the next generation. To everything there is a time and season, a time for every purpose under Heaven...a time of war. When it is a time for war, we must have a paradigm for war! We are experiencing a time in our nation when we are entering into a new war. However, this war is not just physical but spiritual. The Church is being prepared to enter its most dynamic season of warfare, worship, and harvest. The real issue is that without His presence, we are destined for defeat. Also read Numbers 2:3. Judah led the tribe of Israel through the wilderness. Judah also led the conquest of Canaan. Therefore, it will be praise that leads us forth into our battles and victories ahead. Praise causes the presence of the Lord to come into our midst. Even though God is omniscient, He manifests His authority and rule in our environment when we praise Him. When we praise, God comes in and leads us forth. The word "inhabit" or "enthrone" means to settle in or marry. When we praise and worship we restore our communion with a holy God. We become one!
Day 9: Read 1 Cor. 10:1-11. The apostle Paul tells us that the accounts of Israel's journey to the Promised Land were given to us as an example. God is demonstrating something to us in the order of procession of the tribes. You or I might think that Reuben should have gone first: He was the oldest, and with age comes wisdom and experience. But this was not God's decisive factor. Joseph was the favorite, as well as the most successful and powerful of his brothers, but this was not God's criterion. The example God wanted to give us was that praise should always lead the way.
Day 10: Read 2 Chron. 20. God gives us strategies that are not of the wisdom of this world. The example He has presented to us is to send Judah first, not necessarily the wisest or the strongest. Let praise lead the way. Praise breaks through. Jehoshaphat was able to win the day by sending his praise team first. See the confederation of demonic enemies that are aligned against you.
Day 11: Read Hosea 10. Meditate on verse 11. Unshakable praise plows through the hardest ground. When the ground is hard, when the circumstances are adverse, God's favor is on the one who will lead off with praise. Fallow ground will break up. Declare the plow of praise will cut through ungiving earth and make a way for the good seed of the Word to be planted.
Day 12: Read Psalm 30. Sing verse 5. "Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning" (NASB). Unshakable praise must keep going. Judah goes first through wilderness experiences. Judah goes first in the war for our inheritance. Judah goes first to plow a way into new territory. Judah goes first when the cost is great.
Day 13: Read James 5, Matthew 4. The Word of God tells us to submit ourselves to God, draw near to Him and then resist the devil. I believe that as we worship and submit ourselves to a holy God, we can come into intimate contact with Him. Even though we walk here on the earth in our worshipful submission, we ascend into Heaven. As we individually seek God and ascend into the Throne Room, we can hear the sound of Heaven in our spirit man on Earth. Be sure any area where you are not operating in submission is dealt with. Resist Satan's temptation in your wilderness. Remember, the Spirit of God led Jesus into the wilderness. Stop in the midst of your hard situation and see the Spirit's leading.
Day 14: Read Num. 10, Rev. 1. God always led His people forth with sound. We find in Numbers 10 that trumpets would sound. Give a special offering this month. We also find this all the way through the Book of Revelation. The Book of Revelation is an incredible, elaborate pageant, interpreted to us by Heavenly, celestial singers along with creatures and elders. John saw a door standing open in Heaven, and the Voice he heard was like a trumpet speaking and saying, "Come up here and I will show you things that must take place after this" (see Rev. 1:10). The Lord's voice, many times, sounds like a trumpet calling us forth. The trumpet, or shofar, in the Word of God had a distinct sound to assemble and call God's people to war.
Day 15: Read 2 Samuel 5. Another sound we find before God led His troops forward was "the wind in the mulberry trees." In 2 Samuel 5, David had experienced a major breakthrough in his own life. What had been prophesied over him 29 years prior had actually come into fulfillment. He then had to lead the armies forth into battle. David had one driving purpose: to get the Ark of the Covenant of God back into its rightful position in the midst of God's covenant people. When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed as king, they rose up against him. David defeated and drove them back out of his jurisdictional authority. However, they regrouped and started coming back at him again. He then asked the Lord if he was to pursue them. In 2 Samuel 5:24 the Lord answers, "And...when you hear the sound of the marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly." The sound of marching is not just the wind blowing the tops of the trees, but it is the hosts of Heaven and the armies of God rustling the leaves and signifying they were present to help David in victory. In the Book of Revelation, we find the real issue is the relationship between the sounds of Heaven and the demonstration of God on Earth. Sound leads us forth.
Day 16: Read Deut. 20, Deut 32:30. War for your future. One can put 1,000 to flight, but two can put 10,000 to flight. This is a valuable principle of multiplication. Ask the Lord for an increase in strength.
Day 17: Read Is. 55, Mt. 16. Lean not on your own understanding. His word will not return void. Notice how Peter operated. He had great revelation, and then his mind and emotions kicked in and were occupied by satan. Ask the Lord to bring your mind and emotions under control.
Day 18: Memorize Prov. 3:3-10. I like them in the Amplified. Satan's plan is to tempt you in a way that you deviate from God's path for your life.
Day 19: Read Mt. 18:19. Jesus told us, "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in Heaven" (Matt. 18:19, NASB). This is the power of agreement that increases the effectiveness of our prayers. The word "agree" means to come into harmony with. It actually means we make the same sound on Earth that is coming from Heaven. Declare that our sounds on earth will be in harmony with the sounds of Heaven. Meditate on Verse 20. We have a special promise from Jesus that He, Himself, will show up when we gather together in His name. "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst" (Matt. 18:20, NASB). When we come together, He is there with us. Declare that we will be a people who abide in the Lord's presence. Also read and sing Psalm 91.
Day 20: Read Jer. 25:30, Amos 6, "The Lord will roar from on high and utter His voice from His holy habitation; He will roar mightily against His fold. He will shout like those who tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth (NASB)." Declare that the Lord's voice will be heard in the nations of the earth today.
Day 21: Memorize Eph. 1:3-6. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the Heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved."
Day 22: Read Psalm 34, Heb. 1, especially verse 14. Praise God for the angels that are encamping around you. Declare that these ministering spirits will transcend to the natural realm from the spiritual realm. As we ascend in worship, we also know that a portal opens for angelic visitation. During our times of prayer and crying out to God, during those times when we worship with abandonment as David did, we enter the realm of the spirit.
Day 23: Read Romans 9 and meditate on verse 29. Read Psalm 46, Romans 11. Be still. Bless Israel. One of the names and characteristics of God is Lord Sabaoth, Lord of Hosts. The Hebrew word tsebha'oth means hosts or armies. The Lord Sabaoth is: God of the armies of Earth, God of the armies of the stars, and God of the unseen armies of angels. When we worship, He begins to order and align His armies for victory. "Hosts" signifies an organized group under authority. God has a multitude of ready and able servants. This suggests that the Lord is the Commander and Chief of the armies in Heaven. Sing the timeless hymn that acknowledges this character of God: "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God."
Day 24: Read Psalms 16 and 29. Decree the voice of the Lord will sound over your inheritance. When sound comes into air, the air changes. When God releases His voice, creation must respond. When we serve as God's voice on Earth, Earth responds to the sound we release. When we express ourselves in worship to the Lord, the air vibrates with our worship. This causes our environment to change. Declaring the sound of true worship will cause your city, state, and nation to be transformed. Worship and declare that your atmosphere will change. Receive His creative power. May the creativity of God be released in you.
Day 25: Read Acts 1. Meditate on verse 3. This is the only place in the Bible where the word "passion" is used. Passion means to enter into the sufferings of the Lord against temptation. Passion deals with both your mind and your emotions, and is linked to resistance. Resist the number one thing that tempts you and watch the passion of Christ rise within you.
Day 26: Read Genesis 1:26-28 through Genesis 3. Satan wants you to believe that God is not directing you. He also wants you to think that God is holding out on you. This is what he did to the woman in the garden as he manipulated her desires. Ask God to break any manipulation that is aligned with your desires.
Day 27: Read Psalm 37. Be sure that your desires are aligned correctly. Temptation is linked to desires that are not within God's boundaries.
Day 28: Read Luke 10. Ask the Lord to remove all distractions that are robbing the best for you and your family. Ask the Lord to cause your will to realign so that you choose the best that He has for you.
Day 29: Read Genesis 14 and 15. God revealed Himself to Abraham as the 'Possessor of Heaven and Earth'. This was in the context of war. Abraham gave to Melchizedek. Then notice the covenant God made with Abraham. Ask God to reaffirm your covenant with Him.
Day 30: Read the Lord's Prayer from Luke 11. Ask the Lord to deliver you from temptation. Also read Genesis 22. Temptation is linked to our testing. See how God tested Abraham's faith and revealed Himself to Abraham as Jehovah Jireh.
Day 31: Memorize Is. 9:3. The division of the spoil was a joyous feast for the people. Rejoice! Also read Esther 3 and 8. Let God develop your strategy to take back what the enemy has plotted to take from you.
Day 32: Read Deut. 8, especially verses 18-20. Increase is a harvest principle. Increase rises through faith and follows deeds that are linked with faith. Increase comes through supernatural Kingdom connections so we can all enter into a multiplied, synergistic corporate measure of increase. Increase is also a reward for obedience. A fundamental question we need to ask ourselves is: What is wealth? There are several ways to look at wealth in the Bible. Power means vigor, strength, force, or capacity-whether physical, mental, or spiritual. Wealth means material substance, strength, and the spoils of war necessary to accomplish God's plan on earth.
Day 33: Read Zech 3, Duet 26-28. Ask the Lord to remove the past reproaches and re-clothe you for the war ahead.
Day 34: Read 2 Timothy 1, Isaiah 41. Stir up your faith and renounce all fears. Ask the Lord to restore your mind. Ask the Lord for a new identity.
Day 35: Read Hebrews 5, Memorize verse 14. Ask the Lord to release discernment on you and the next generation.
Day 36: Read Luke 19. Ask God what you have, and how to multiply it.
Day 37: Read Ps. 115:14-16. Memorize Ps. 82:4. Ask God for increase. Ask Him to give you a mind for increase. Ask Him to open your heart to any prophetic word that will bring you success and cause you to be able to rake in the spoils that the enemy is holding. Declare deliverance from the hand of the wicked who has tied up any of your wealth.
Day 38: Read Mal. 3 and 2 Cor. 10:3-6. Declare that the generational curse of "GOD ROBBING" will be broken out of your bloodline. This is one of the four major generational curses. Tear down mindsets of poverty. Poverty has a voice which says, "God is not able." There are philosophies in your life that have developed wrong mindsets over wealth. Dismantle unbelief over provision. "Prove Me NOW," says the Lord! Look up and see the windows of blessings that He wants to open up. Watch Him overcome your devourer. May the law of booty take action in your life. The law of booty was that it should be divided equally between the army who won it and God's covenant people. A portion of the spoil was assigned to the oppressed, the aged, widows, and orphans.
Day 39: Read Joel 1, 2, 3:16. God roars as He goes to battle. He will roar against His covenant enemies. His covenant people will also begin to roar and become a fearful, holy remnant to contend with in the earthly realm. He will be a shelter and a strength to those who respond to His sound and call on Him. Worship this season will determine how the multitudes in the valley of decision begin to decide to follow God. There is an inherited roar within you. Let the Lord draw you near and develop that roar within you so that this sound is brought forth at the appropriate time in your life in this season. Let a roar arise! Declare that your inheritance is secured, that you have recovered all, and that your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Day 40: Memorize and sing Psalm 23. Thank Him that He is Jehovah Rohi and will lead you into full restoration.
Spend a Day of Rearguard Praise! Unshakable praise plows through the hardest ground. When the ground is hard, when the circumstances are adverse, God's favor is on the one who will lead off with praise. Fallow ground will break up. Declare the plow of praise will cut through the un-giving earth and make a way for the good seed of the Word to be planted. Read Psalm 130; Rev. 2:10. Praise God for removing your past and extending abundant grace and forgiveness to you. Stand in His Presence and receive an outpouring of His grace. Let hope arise new and fresh. Let assurance of redemption rest upon you, and command all fear to leave you. Spend a day in praise! Victory Deserves Praise! Praise is a response that we should have to God when He reveals Himself to us. Therefore, praise can occur at the point of revelation rather than at the actual time of the manifestation of the promise. As we praise God in advance when He speaks to us or gives us faith to believe Him for a manifestation of something we desire, He enthrones Himself or makes Himself King over that situation in our life.
Praise comes from a Latin word meaning "value" or "price." Thus, to give praise to God is to proclaim His merit or worth. Many terms are used to express this in the Bible, including "glory," "blessing," "thanksgiving," and "hallelujah." The Hebrew title of the book of Psalms ("Praises") comes from the same root as "hallelujah," and Psalms 113-118 have been specially designated the "Hallel" ("praise") Psalms. The modes of praise are many, including the offering of sacrifices (Lev. 7:13), physical movement (2 Sam. 6:14), silence and meditation (Ps. 77:11-12), testimony (Ps. 66:16), prayer (Phil. 4:6), and a holy life (1 Pet. 1:3-9). Praise is many times linked to music, both instrumental (Ps. 150:3-5) and vocal. Praise is to originate in the heart and not become mere outward show (Matt. 15:8). Corporate praise is to be carried on in an orderly manner (1 Cor. 14:40).
Praise is also firmly linked to an individual's everyday life (Amos 5:21-24). The Bible displays outbursts of praise! God takes pleasure and delight in His works and expects us to express our joy in what He does. The coming of the Kingdom of God into the midst of this world is marked by the restoration of joy and praise to the people of God (Is. 9:2; Ps. 96:11-13; Rev. 5:9-14; Lk. 2:13-14). Praise arises from sheer joy in the redeeming presence of God (Dt. 27:7; Nu. 10:10 ; Lv. 23:40). The praise of God is rendered on earth for the works of creation and redemption (Ps. 24; 136). Praise is an echo on earth of the praise of Heaven (Rev. 4:11; 5:9-10). Praise distinguishes the people of God from the heathen who refuse to render it (1 Pet. 2:9; Eph. 1:3-14; Phil. 1:11, Rom. 1:21). The act of praising implies the closest fellowship with the One who is being praised. C. S. Lewis says, "In commanding us to glorify Him, God is inviting us to enjoy Him" (C. S. Lewis, Reflections on the Psalms, 1958, p. 95).
