According to a report by LifeSiteNews, a federal court last week, lifted a 3-year injunction against a Utah law banning partial birth abortion. Utah's ban, passed in 2004, was similar to the one upheld in the Supreme Court this Spring, but had been on hold due to a lawsuit filed by Planned Parenthood.

Stating that "It is futile" to challenge the law any further, Planned Parenthood withdrew their legal action against it—allowing the legislation to go into effect.

The LifeSiteNews article says that a measure was introduced in Utah this past January, which would limit the legality of abortions to reasons of incest, rape or serious damage to the mother.
