Report from Denny Cline in Lakeland, Florida:
The first night in the stadium had the feel of history all over it. It was thrilling to see that the entire stadium was full with ten thousand in the stands, as well as people out on a grassy hillside. To hear that many saints wildly praising God openly in America, instead of cheering for a sporting event was overwhelming. How pleased Heaven must be to see America giving praise to the Lamb of God who is worthy.
The consistent mark of this outpouring is not only the healing and miracles which are genuine, but the tangible glory of God's presence. Roy Fields (worship leader) is very sensitive to the Holy Spirit and a great reverence is in the worship which ushers in the glory. The signature song starts off I believe, "In the presence of angels with His Glory around the throne." The miracles just begin to break out in the atmosphere and continue as Todd moves in revelation of conditions present. People come to the platform either healed or in process before hands are even laid upon them.
I am so impressed with Todd Bentley's sensitivity to what is going on in the realm of the Spirit and how he is conducting the meetings. The Strader's (pastors from Ignited Church where it first broke out) are also very humble about what is happening and just serve with all their heart to see this outpouring continue. It is truly the most powerful and all-inclusive visitation I have ever witnessed. Every meeting is different. But God seems eager to set people free from every kind of affliction. There were hundreds who stood to receive Christ this first night in Tiger Stadium.
The next morning, Saturday, I had the privilege of leading a service at Ignited Church. The morning services are now packed to overflowing with about 1,000 people each day. I was asked to share some about the Albany outpouring in 1999 to 2000, but the Holy Spirit took over the meeting before I could really share anything as we began to pray corporately. This meeting was one of the most thrilling in my years of ministry because of the intense hunger of the people. And again, this is not in some foreign country, but the USA.
There is one thing I would like to share and what I believe is very important about what God is doing at the outset of this move of God. I was impressed suddenly to ask how many people had dreams and made commitments to go to nations or serve God, but felt they could not because of sickness, circumstances and suffering in their lives. I was stunned when nearly one-third or more of the crowd came forward.
As we prayed for the Holy Spirit to set people free and heal them, people began to line up and testify of being healed and set free. The stories were heartbreaking and the changes remarkable. I realized the first phase of this outpouring was that God is setting His people free to go to the fields of harvest. Many have felt that hope has been deferred over the last several years and that hearts were failing and the enemy seemed to be destroying God's people and their dreams. But in fact, those hopes became a critical mass of embers that were simply waiting for a spark to ignite the most intense expectation for the manifestation of the victory of the Cross that I have ever seen on a corporate level. We finally had to stop testimonies as the Holy Spirit moved on the children.
This outpouring is contagious, powerful and real. I believe it has the potential to become a great awakening and turn our nation back to God. Some will criticize this, which is what always happens. There is not a lot of preaching right now because God just keeps meeting hungry hearts with healing and delivering power. But the focus is on Jesus and it is transferable. It is breaking out in other cities in Florida, and in other states and nations already.
