Dear Friends,
There is a great "buzz" about this coming Saturday, when the date will read 07/07/07. Many are saying that this date has more marriages on it than any other --over 38,000!!! (read article).
Some believe that seven is the number of perfection or completion, and thus it will be a blessed or "lucky" day. God created the world in 6 days, and rested on the seventh because He had perfected what He had done. (Genesis 2:2-3).
The ministry known as TheCall is sponsoring a large prayer gathering in Nashville, which follows a 40 day fast. They are expecting an incredible amount of people to attend--and most of all--for God to show up!
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT SEVEN?
If you search the Bible for the word "seven," you will see that there are about 390 references. Obviously, the number seven holds significance to the Lord.
In the book of Revelation alone, there are seven of each of these: angels, candlesticks, churches, heads, horns, mountains, vials, plagues, seals, spirits, thunders, thunders of creation, and trumpets.
The Bible links the number seven to many important things such as the seventh day being for Sabbath rest, spiritual reflection, and consecration. Revelation also speaks of the seven Spirits of God (Revelation 3:1; 4:5; 5:6).
The number seven may also speak of tribulation. Bible believers know that the Great Tribulation will last seven years (Daniel 9:24-27). During the Tribulation, the antichrist will be revealed (for more information, click here).
WHAT ABOUT THIS DAY, 07/07/07 THEN?
Psalm 118:24 comes to mind -- "This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it."
Jeremiah 46:10 -- "For this is the day of the Lord God of hosts, A day of vengeance, That He may avenge Himself on His adversaries."
I believe that, with so many people praying and seeking God on this day, much will be accomplished! We have a "date" with Jesus!
I feel that the many weddings that are going to take place on 07/07/07 are a sign that there is restoration of the marriage covenant coming to our land. And in that, the restoration of family and family values. The Lord gave me this verse:
Jeremiah 33:11 -- "The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say: 'Praise the Lord of hosts, For the Lord is good, For His mercy endures forever'-- and of those who will bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. For I will cause the captives of the land to return as at the first,' says the Lord."
I also felt that the Lord said to watch for 7/17/07. He spoke this to me through Genesis 8:4 -- "Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month..."
I believe that by 7/17/07, we will begin to see the fruit of 07/07/07 TheCall to prayer, and that the Ark of His Presence will come forth in this nation in an unprecedented way. This may be on a quiet, personal level for each one, or in a loud and obvious way. Which one, I do not know. But I believe the Lord will show up as a result of the many who pray.
PRAYER
Lord, we know that You make EVERY day. But for whatever reason, You have laid it on the hearts of Your people to come together in a special way on 07/07/07.
You say in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
We ask You that, as we pray, You will hear us from Heaven, and forgive us, and heal our land. And we thank You, Lord, that "the people who do know their God shall be strong and do great exploits" (Daniel 11:32). Amen.
